Mr. Anthony Austin is the main guiding force behind Laurels Global’s educational initiatives. An alumnus of the UK’s prestigious Cambridge University and fluent in English, Italian, French, German and Swedish, widely-travelled Anthony has been associated with several media organisations across the world.

He has worked with global news agency Reuters as Chief sub-editor, financial desk, London, Chief Correspondent, Nordic countries based in Stockholm and Chief Correspondent, Southeast Asia based in Bangkok. He has been a coordinator of Greenwich Cyclists, campaigning for better cycling infrastructure and organising regular rides.

London-based Mr. Austin is also a member of St. Alfege’s Church, Greenwich.

Mr Austin is the chairman of Laurels Global, which is registered in the United Kingdom. Laurels Global works with schools to introduce world-class educational practices, help in curriculum development and promote student and teacher exchange programmes.

Laurels Global also organises video conferencing with various schools across the world so that students in a classroom could talk to other schools on various international topics and work on joint projects.  

Mr Austin visited Allahabad this year to address a press conference to announce Laurels Global’s India initiatives, including Laurels International School, Allahabad, and Lal Bahadur Shastri International School, Jaipur.

At the press conference, Mr Austin said: “India is a special focus area for Laurels Global as the country needs more world-class institutions to keep pace with its rapidly growing economy. We are committed to facilitate Indian educational bodies to attain the highest standard by integrating the best teaching practices of British, American and IB patterns.”
