Mr. Anthony Austin
Chairman, Laurels International School & Laurels Global UK
Mr. Anthony Austin, Chairman of Laurels International School, Prayagraj, is the main guiding force behind Laurels Global’s educational initiatives. An alumnus of the UK’s prestigious Cambridge University and fluent in English, Italian, French, German and Swedish, widely-travelled Anthony has been associated with several organisations across the world. He has worked with global news agency Reuters as its Financial Editor. London-based Mr. Austin is also a member of St. Alfege’s Church, Greenwich.
Mr Austin is also the chairman of Laurels Global, which is registered in the United Kingdom. Laurels Global works with schools to introduce world-class educational practices, help in curriculum development and promote student and teacher exchange programmes.
“ Laurels Global also organises video conferencing with various schools across the world so that students in a classroom could talk to other schools on various international topics and work on joint projects.
India is a special focus area for Laurels Global as the country needs more world-class institutions to keep pace with its rapidly growing economy. Mr Austin has also worked with Reuters Chief Correspondent, Nordic countries based in Stockholm and Chief Correspondent, Southeast Asia based in Bangkok. He has been a coordinator of Greenwich Cyclists, campaigning for better cycling infrastructure and organising regular rides.
